Writers Remember was born out of a vision to help others rekindle the passion that stirs in the heart of a writer in love with his or her craft. We hope it can be a place where people can once again find joy in the creative process.

Are you seeking encouragement in your writing journey? Do you feel burnt out in the competitive world of writing? Writers Remember is here to help you to renew your creativity, and even help you find the best markets to share it with, as well as warn you against being "taken" by literary scams! Don't forget to subscribe to our newsletter, "Filling the Inkwell," always full of helpful information and encouraging thoughts for the writer within.

A note from Writers Remember Editor-in-Chief, Julia Temlyn:

Writers Remember was born out of something my mother once asked me, regarding the similarities between myself and the heroine of one of my favorite books, Little Women:

"Do you ever feel a bit like Jo March... writing what pleases others and pays the bills?"

Writers Remember is here to help you find yourself as a writer. Rest assured, however, it is not just another writing site. Writers Remember is unlike any other writers' Web site out there because its focus is on discouraged writers, those who have a fervent passion for the craft but have been burnt out by the competitive nature which surrounds it.

Just as Jo March, and her author-counterpart Louisa May Alcott, wrote what pleased the newspapers, gossip columns, and the like over one hundred years ago, so do many writers today. We write articles and content for the internet, sometimes even compromising our values by deliberately butchering the English language in the name of search engine optimization. We might even write novels or stories that please others, but we feel no passion for the stories we've written, not even pride...more like numbness.

In our attempts to write for clips and quick cash, are we falling out of love with the writing process? Have we forgotten what it feels like to scribble in a notebook, to collect our favorite words, to dream? Read more...
