Writing Exercises
Five Minutes with a Blank Screen.
1. Turn off your computer monitor (or, if you have a laptop,
stick a sheet of paper over the laptop screen).
2. Set a timer for 5 minutes.
3. Start writing. Write whatever comes into your head. Don't
think--just write. Don't stop
hitting the keys. Type as fast as you can.
4. Look at the results, and feel free to post them on our
forum. Do not edit, not even for typos.
The results can be quite interesting. It's amazing what can come out
of you. Want more? Try it for longer than 5 minutes!
