"Remember where you came from"

Staff Masthead

Writers Remember was born out of a vision to help others rekindle the passion that stirs in the heart of a writer in love with his or her craft. We hope it can be a place where people can once again find joy in the creative process.

Editorial Staff

Julia Temlyn
Editor-in-Chief

Julia Temlyn is a writer, editor, and proofreader. She is the owner of Temlyn Writing & Editing Services (housed at her Web site), which provides writing & editing services for various clients. In addition to being Editor-in-Chief of Writers Remember, she runs All About Musicals. She is a Community Moderator at Book Lust with Nancy Pearl, How to Date, & Should I Do What I Love? (all are Wetpaint sites based on books from Sasquatch Publishing). Julia is also a staff writer for Sugar Land Magazine.

Julia has been writing & editing since she could read, as her family and friends will attest-- long before she received her B.A. in English. Published both online and in print, she enjoys writing creative nonfiction (articles, essays, etc.), fiction, and poetry-- and even has a few books in the works! Her personal essay "A Walk in the Clouds" is featured in Stories of Strength, an anthology from the members of AbsoluteWrite, the proceeds of which benefit disaster victims. For more information regarding Stories of Strength please click here, or to order click here.

In her spare time she enjoys reading good books, sipping all kinds of tea, singing Broadway show tunes, and spending quality time with her husband and their goofy cat.

Visit Julia's Web site and her blog, Mrs. Write Right, Word Therapist (aka Writer-Editor). She can be contacted at editor@writersremember.com.

Kevin Kilgarriff
Staff Writer &  Public Relations/Marketing Consultant

Kevin Kilgarriff is a writer and Recruitment Advertising Account Executive. He's been writing forever (Yes, since the beginning of time!), but didn't choose to share his work until mid-2004. A virtual novice in terms of writing professionally, his goal at Writers Remember is to share his experiences with other writers, and to hopefully help them through the trying times that a writer can encounter.

Recently Kevin started his own freelance writing business, Londontown Writing Services.

He blogs at Aspiring Adult and enjoys reading and writing in a variety of genres. His childish jokes are unrivaled and his vast collection of useless information, which he swears will one day be fully utilized, continues to grow exponentially.

Kevin lives in Warrington, PA, just outside of Philadelphia, with his wife and their 2 year old daughter.

Contributing Writers

Shawn Bogart
Staff Writer

Shawn Bogart is a freelance fiction and nonfiction writer specializing in horror and humor.  Though just twenty, he has lived a long life, and what this young author may lack in life experience he makes up for with his unique perspective, allowing him to see beyond the superficial and understand the problems a writer can encounter. Writing with heart and soul from his home office in the small town of Berwick, Pennsylvania, Shawn churns out innumerable short stories and attempts at The Great American Novel in the hopes of one day meeting fame and fortune.  Will he find it?  Will he ever leave his small town?  Only time will tell.  The man is diligent, if nothing else.

Gary Hibberd
Staff Writer

"There's a book in all of us." And Gary is no different. Although a virtual newcomer to writing professionally, Gary has such a passion and enthusiasm for life and writing that it eclipses his lack of professional exposure.  Gary hopes to share his experiences in the development of this craft as well as share his views on what it means to be a 'professional' writer.  Holding a diploma in Life Coaching, Gary brings to the table experiences from people who have lost their drive or direction in life and offers tips and tricks to get motivated, be positive, and achieve goals.

Gary is currently working on his first novel and researching a factual guide to the world of disasters!

Staff Writer, Inspirational Poetry

Heather McQuown started writing poetry in 1994, when she wrote her first poem as part of a 7th grade school project.
